Jail Hotels Have Arrived!!
A prison is probably the last place on Earth most of us would want to spend the night, right? Notoriously terrifying prisons have become luxurious 4-star hotels where you can cozily enjoy a stay in a former prison library or even the director’s office.
Let’s take Boston’s Charles Street Jail, a fixture in Boston since 1851. Among the more famous prisoners held there are the Brinks Job principals, the Boston Strangler, and a Nazi Submarine Captain captured during WW II.
I wonder if Orleans Parish Prison, Gusman’s fiefdom, OPP, Central Lockup, etc., will ever become a luxury hotel? That would be a certain dream of mine, I hope I live to see this, I sort of doubt it. I have faith, however.
