Orleans Parish Prison No Cook Brownies

Here’s a fun recipe I received courtesy of Dwayne J., an inmate in Guzman’s digs earlier this month. Featuring ingredients available for a price to inmates through the jail store,  augmented with extra rations of the inmates’ meals.

12 pieces of bread, remove all crusts

1 regular size Snickers bar, with the nougat section removed and put aside.

1 pack each of chocolate and vanilla cookies,  with creme filling removed and put aside

2 cups of milk

2 regular size Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars

In a bowl, break up the bread  and mix with 1 cup of milk until a dough is formed.  In a separate bowl, mix the cookies together with the other cup of milk to form another dough. Mix the two doughs together in a bigger bowl until well mixed.  Add the remaining parts of the Snickers Bar to the combined dough. In a separate bowl, mix the creme filling with the nougat to create the icing. Take the cookie inserts and fill with combined dough. Ice inserts with the combined icing. Top with the candy bars.
